Van Amersfoort Racing and David Beckmann have split “by mutual consent”, three rounds into this year’s FIA European Formula 3 Championship.
Beckmann, 17, stepped up to the category last year with Mucke Motorsport, having missed the first two rounds of the season due to his young age.
Beckmann placed 15th in the standings with two podium finishes to his name and for 2017 switched to Van Amersfoort.
However, Beckmann failed to score a point across the opening nine races of the year, leaving him 18th in the 19-driver championship, and the team announced a split on Tuesday.
“We wish David good luck for his future endeavours,” team boss Fritz van Amersfoort said in a brief statement.
