Romanian racer Robert Visoiu has linked up with Campos for the remainder of the FIA Formula 2 championship, the team confirmed on Monday.
Visoiu spent three years in GP3 from 2012-14, before stepping up to GP2 with Rapax, finishing 17th in the standings, though missed the final two rounds of the campaign, and did not re-appear in the category last season.
Campos, which ran Stefano Coletti in Bahrain and Roberto Merhi in Spain, has now recruited Visoiu to partner Ralph Boschung for the remainder of the season, starting in Monaco this weekend.
"I am very happy to have the opportunity to join Campos Racing for the rest of the 2017 season," he said.
"I have missed the competition immensely and I will do my best to get up to speed quickly.
"I need to thank Adrian Campos for his trust and guidance, which are essential to me. I am sure we can achieve great things together."
