Reigning Formula E World Champion Jake Dennis has signed a multi-year contract extension with Andretti Formula E, as confirmed by the team on Wednesday afternoon.
The British driver’s deal will take him beyond 2025 with the American outfit, who he entered the all-electric series with in 2021. Signing a new deal marks a strong way to prepare for the defence of his Drivers’ Championship, which he claimed in the penultimate race of season nine in London.
Dennis will enter season 10 in January with the No. 1 on his Andretti, with him being the driver to beat next year. The Andretti driver broke the record for most podiums in a Formula E campaign on his way to title glory in 2023, after finishing on the rostrum in 11 of the 16 races.
He has made remarkable progress every season he’s competed in the sport, alongside his simulator duties for Red Bull in Formula 1. He was recently rewarded for his efforts by Red Bull, as he made his F1 debut in free practice 1 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
His future is very much in Formula E, though, with him being “super motivated” to continue with Andretti for many more years.
“I began my Formula E journey with Andretti, and I’m excited to continue working with the team that has supported my career in this series,” Dennis said.
“I’ve got immense respect for this team, and it will be an honor to continue as a driver for Andretti Global. The Gen3 era is an exciting time for us with the relationship with Porsche supplying the powertrain, which I won the Championship Title with last season.
“I’m super motivated for next year and feel certain that with the dedication, teamwork and investment I’ve seen over the past three years in the team that we’ll be able to fight for more wins and success in the future.”
Getting Dennis to sign a contract extension was massively important for Andretti Global CEO and Chairman Michael Andretti, who is confident that having the reigning World Champion in the team going into the future simply improves their position on the “global stage”.
Andretti is hopeful that with an extension now signed, Dennis and the team can go on and break “more records”, following on from what was a remarkable 2023 campaign.

With the way Dennis has improved every year he’s competed in Formula E, there’s no questioning that he is comfortably one of the most competitive and talented driver” on the grid. By fielding the 28-year-old, Andretti can virtually guarantee that they’ll always be fighting for rostrums at the very least, whilst Dennis is just as strong over one-lap.
He’s someone who can certainly lead Andretti forwards in the all-electric series, with Team Principal Roger Griffiths recognising that he’s an “integral part” of the outfit.
