Lewis Hamilton was unable to take to the track on the final day of the opening test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya due to an eletrical fault with his Mercedes W08.
Hamilton had been due to drive the W08 during the morning session, which featured wet tyre running after Pirelli artifically soaked the track.
However an electrical problem meant the car was unable to leave the garage and Hamilton will therefore skip Thursday's test, with team-mate Valtteri Bottas taking the afternoon session.
"An electrical fault kept us in the garage this morning, so I've decided with the team not to drive today as I wouldn't have learned much," said Hamilton on Twitter.
"It's a shame not to drive but it's been a great few days. The guys have done an awesome job. I can't wait to be back in the car next week."
Mercedes has so far run flawlessly, having encountered no reliability issues up until now, allowing Hamilton and Bottas to rack up a combined 490 laps across the opening three days.
