Mercedes has debuted a double T-wing on its W08 during the second day of the first pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Tuesday morning.
Lewis Hamilton exited the garage with the new device fitted, an evolution of the single T-wing the team – as well as many others – trialled on the opening day of the test.
A change to the regulations has seen the return of shark fin engine covers and the unusual T-wings, which help to condition airflow passing over the new, lower rear-wings.
Ferrari, Williams and Haas have all tested the new wing, but Mercedes evolved the concept on Tuesday, with it now featuring two elements.
Hamilton also ran a more traditional engine cover, having used the shark fin during Monday afternoon's running at the circuit.
