Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has asked his supporters to design his racing helmet for the upcoming Formula 1 campaign.
Hamilton, champion in 2008, 2014 and 2015, took to Instagram on Thursday with a template, albeit with the caveat that certain elements of his current design should be retained.
“Do you want to design my racing helmet for the upcoming F1 season,” the Briton posted.
“I will meet the winner personally at one of the tracks to present them with the prize of a full-sized signed replica helmet.
“I'm on the look out for a dope new layout that evolves my current theme and features the candy apple red in my existing design.
“I'll be picking the design that I feel is the most stylish, inspiring, iconic and eye-catching.”
Hamilton has used a predominantly white helmet, with elements of yellow and red, after abandoning his yellow lid at the start of 2014.
