Max Verstappen claimed a fourth Formula 1 Sprint victory of the season after easing to the chequered flag in Sao Paulo ahead of Lando Norris and Sergio Perez.
Verstappen was able to jump polesitter Norris off the line and pass the McLaren on the inside at Turn 1 to claim control of the race.

George Russell also passed Norris on the opening lap, but the Mercedes driver soon slipped back to third before coming under pressure from Sergio Perez who was able to make a Turn 1 lunge stick on Lap 10 for the final podium position.
Charles Leclerc crossed the line fifth ahead of Yuki Tsunoda who claimed AlphaTauri’s first Sprint points of the season.
Lewis Hamilton slipped to seventh place after struggling to make his tyres last the distance while Carlos Sainz picked up the final point in eighth.
