Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen picked up two awards at the FIA’s prize giving gala in Vienna, Austria, on Friday night.
The Dutch teenager enjoyed a successful second season in Formula 1, which involved a change of teams after four rounds.
Between the Russian and Spanish F1 rounds, he was promoted from Toro Rosso to Red Bull, winning the next race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
He finished fifth in the 2016 drivers’ standings with one win and six further podiums.
At the FIA’s annual gala, he picked up ‘Personality of the Year’ for the second year in a row.
He was also awarded ‘Action of the Year’ once again, having won it last year for his pass on Felipe Nasr at Blanchimont during the Belgian GP.
This season picked up the award in 2016 for his pass on Nico Rosberg around the outside at Turn 3 during the Brazilian GP.
