Force India development driver Alfonso Celis Jr. will get another first practice run with the team at this weekend’s United States Grand Prix.
The Mexican will replace compatriot Sergio Perez for FP1 at the Circuit of the Americas, his fifth of the 2016 Formula 1 season.
He is currently competing in the Formula V8 3.5 series, holding ninth place in the standings after a podium finish and eight further top 10 finishes.
Celis joined Force India as a development driver for this season and has had FP1 appearances in Bahrain, Russia, Austria and Italy.

He has also tested the VJM09 several times and will return to the cockpit of the team’s 2016 car this weekend.
The 20-year-old is not the only development driver running in FP1 at COTA, with Jordan King driving for Manor in the 90-minute session.
