Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson has escaped serious injury after he fell from his bicycle during training in Thailand this week.
The Swede was seen with cuts to both arms and his shoulder after he struck a "large chicken" whilst travelling at 45kph (28mph).
Unlike Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff, who in 2014 fell from his bike during a "team building exercise" in which he broke his wrist, elbow, shoulder and collarbone, Ericsson confirmed he will be fit to race in Malaysia this week as he suffered only minor injuries.
"Arrived in KL today! As some of you've read I had a accident on the bicycle in Thailand. Lucky to get away with only bruises and scratches," he tweeted.
Adding: "Hitting a (big) chicken doing 45km/h is not to recommend but I'm all patched up and ready for the weekend."
