Artur Janosz has been handed a grid penalty by the GP3 stewards after a collision during qualifying at the Monza circuit.
The Trident driver was deemed to have caused the contact with Jenzer’s Arjun Maini during the closing stages of the GP3 session.
Janosz weaved across the circuit several times on the run to the Parabolica, causing Maini to run into the back of his car and lose his front wing.
Maini’s car was briefly pitched into the air with the contact and the stewards deemed Janosz had not looked in his mirrors when warming up his tyres.
Janosz qualified down in 21st place and the three-place grid penalty will mean he will start the first GP3 race at Monza from the pitlane.
