Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen has won the British Grand Prix ‘Driver of the Day’ award after his podium finish at Silverstone.
It is the fourth time the 18-year-old has been voted driver of the day by Formula 1 fans, having been victorious in Spain, Canada and Austria.
Verstappen finished third at Silverstone on Sunday after a feisty performance, but he was promoted to second place after a time penalty for Nico Rosberg.
He started the race on the second row, just ahead of Red Bull team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, and enjoyed an intense battle with Rosberg throughout the race.
The Dutchman ended up losing second place in the closing stages, but ended up moving up a place after Rosberg’s post-race radio message penalty.
The race was won by home favourite Lewis Hamilton, who dominated in wet-to-dry conditions from pole position.
