Sebastian Vettel has been hit with a five-place grid penalty for the British Grand Prix after Ferrari were forced to change the unit ahead of qualifying.
The German, who finished fifth quickest on Saturday morning, reported a problem over team radio at the end of final practice.
Ferrari inspected the unit ahead of qualifying and have been forced to change it for a second race in a row, once again forcing Vettel to take a penalty, as he did last time out in Austria.
It is Vettel's third gearbox failure of the season, having suffered the same problem in Russia.
Sauber's Marcus Ericsson has also been hit with the same penalty following his practice crash, although its unclear whether he will take part in qualifying as the team look to rebuild his heavily damaged car.
