Alfa Romeo has unveiled the special livery it will be running during this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
2023 marks the last year Alfa Romeo runs as the title partner to Sauber and the marque has continued its tradition of sporting a revised Italian-centric colour scheme.
The latest livery to adorn the C43 is doing just that, featuring the Italian tricolour and gold typeface that pays homage to the Alfa car brand’s latest fuoriserie car, the 33 Stradale.
The 33 Stradale is itself a homage, harking back to a car with the same name that earned legendary status for Alfa back in the late 1960s as a gorgeous SportsCar racer.
The modern reinterpretation will be a limited run of bespoke creations for the most elite of clientele with the option of either a 620bhp V6 or 750bhp+ tri-motor EV for the incredible sum of €1.7 million, plus tax.
Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu were on hand to unveil the special liveried C43 F1 car today during an event at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, near Milan and the 33 Stradale will accompany the C43 to Monza, with the limited edition road car getting its unveiling at the Italian Temple of Speed.
“As we approach our home race in Monza, it’s a pleasure to unveil this incredible livery, a true tribute not only to the 33 Stradale, but to Alfa Romeo as a whole and to the country it hails from, Italy,” Alfa Romeo Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi said.
“This livery is probably one of the most beautiful we’ve ever had on a car, and to be able to showcase it in front of our home crowd – including hundreds of our team members from Hinwil on the grandstands – is an honour for all of us.”
Alfa Romeo CEO Jean Philippe Imparato added: “With the new 33 Stradale, we wanted to create something that lived up to our past, to serve the Alfa Romeo brand and to make the Alfisti fandom proud,” he said.
“Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake’s tribute livery embodies the spirit, the passion and the vision we have put in the 33 Stradale: it is pure, classic sportiness, and it combines looks with performance. I cannot wait to see it on track this weekend.”
