After most of Saturday was spent waiting for rain to move out of the area, the NTT IndyCar Series has released a revised schedule for the remainder of the weekend.
A lone practice session will be run in the evening, with an hour of track time scheduled to start at 6:45 PM Central Time.
Drivers will then have a short time allotted to run the high line in an attempt to put a layer of Firestone rubber down in the upper groove.
Instead of being run on Saturday, qualifying for the Bommarito 500 has been moved to Sunday morning at 10:00 AM Central Time.
The typical qualifying format will be used, with drivers setting the grid via two consecutive timed laps.
The green flag for Sunday’s race is scheduled to take place at the originally planned time of 2:30 PM Central Time.
Rain arrived at the track on Saturday morning just as the first session was set to get underway, and prevented any track action for nearly nine hours.
The 1.25-mile oval near St. Louis has lights, which is what allowed the schedule to be revised so late in the evening.
