Esteban Ocon will drive for Renault in first practice for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.
The reigning GP3 champion, who is racing in the DTM this season with Mercedes, will step into one of Renault’s RS16s for the opening session in Barcelona.
Ocon last drove in a practice session back in 2014, when he took over Romain Grosjean’s Lotus at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
It has yet to be confirmed which of the two Renault race drivers he will replace for first practice at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya.
The team’s new test driver Sergey Sirotkin stood in for Kevin Magnussen during first practice at this weekend’s Russian Grand Prix.
