Daniel Ricciardo debuted Red Bull's 'Aeroscreen' head protection device on his RB12 during first practice for the Russian Grand Prix, completing a single installation lap to check the visibility it affords a driver.
Meanwhile the team released two videos of the device undergoing FIA static load tests, which saw a one kilo weight fired at the canopy at a speed of 230kph and the second shows a tyre being fired at the canopy – which shows it making slight contact with the helmet.
