Fernando Alonso has escaped injury following a huge crash involving the McLaren driver and the Haas of Esteban Gutierrez on lap 17 of the race.
The crash was so severe it resulted in the race being temporarily red flagged for 20 minutes as marshals cleared the excessive amount of debris from Turn 13.
The incident occurred as Alonso battled against Gutuerrez for P19, but made contact with the Mexican driver's left-rear as he attempted to dive down the outside.
The ensuing crash saw Alonso's McLaren fly through the air before it rolled and came to a rest upside down against the tyre barrier, though Alonso managed to extricate himself quickly and walked away from the carnage, as did Gutierrez.
The pair were taken to the medical centre for mandatory checks but are believed to be in good health.
