Haas’ Kevin Magnussen and AlphaTauri’s Nyck de Vries will both start Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix from the pit lane.
The pair were due to start from the back row of the grid after being eliminated from Q1 on Friday.
Haas has opted to make set-up changes outside of parc ferme conditions and Magnussen will now be mandated to start from the pit lane.
AlphaTauri has equipped de Vries’ car with a fresh Energy Store and Control Electronics and have also fitted a different specification rear wing and beam wing.
It means both will start from the pit lane with the remaining 18 cars on the starting grid.
Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc will share the front row of the grid.
