Valtteri Bottas topped the times in FP1 for the Canadian Grand Prix during an hour that saw extremely limited running.
After Pierre Gasly’s Alpine came to a halt in the early stages, the teams were denied any further track action due to issues with the local CCTV around the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Subsequently, only 12 drivers managed to set a lap time, with the second Friday practice session scheduled to be extended by an additional 30 minutes.
