Force India has confirmed that its 2016 Formula 1 car has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests.
The Silverstone-based outfit missed the first pre-season test last season and the VJM08 only debuted mid-way through the third and final event.
But Force India is set to avoid a repeat of its troubled start to 2015, with a spokesperson telling Grand Prix Times its 2016 chassis homologation is "complete".
They added that the VJM09 is "on schedule" to debut at the opening pre-season test, which takes place from the 22-25 February at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Force India secured the best championship finish in its history in 2015, placing fifth overall. Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez remain with the team.
