Spanish team Campos Racing has announced its driver line-up for the 2016 GP3 season.
Alex Palou will lead the team this season, in his second full GP3 campaign. He will be joined by Konstantin Tereschenko, who raced in the final three rounds of 2015, and rookie Steijn Schothorst.
Palou suffered a tough start to his maiden GP3 season but he scored points on six occasions, including a race win at the finale in Abu Dhabi.
The Spaniard finished third in the Euroformula Open Championship in 2014, as well as placing runner-up in Spanish Formula 3.
Russian driver Tereschenko competed in Russia, Bahrain and Abu Dhabi for Campos in GP3 last year, after finishing runner-up in Euroformula Open and winning the Spanish F3 championship.
Schothorst is the only unfamiliar driver in the line-up. The Dutch racer has previously raced in Formula Renault 2.0, the Toyota Racing Series New Zealand and the Renault Sport Trophy.
Alex Palou: “I’m happy to be back in the GP3 Series driving a Campos Racing’s car,” Palou said. “I’m entirely convinced we will be able to build on the experience gained last year to be competitive from the scratch. I’m looking forward to driving the GP3 car again”
Tereschenko added: “I am very happy to be part of Campos Racing for my third consecutive year. This is my first year in the GP3 series, it´s very exciting to grow with the team. Can´t wait for the season to get started.”
Steijn Schothorst said: “I’m extremely happy to be able to work together with Campos Racing this season. I’m very motivated to give the best I can and I´m sure together with team we can get very strong results throughout the season.”
