Just a day after a thrilling Indianapolis 500, Indianapolis Motor Speedway has revealed the logo for the next iteration of the great race.
It has become a common occurrence to reveal the next logo while hype from the event has not yet died down.
The 2024 logo features a red and gold design, with a shape that is meant to be representative of the victory podium at IMS.
The podium is a unique feature of the track, and has a lift to raise the winning car and driver up onto the stage for all the fans to see.
The red color in the middle of the logo represents the red bricks that lined the speedway in years past, and still make up the start / finish line to this day.
Indianapolis Speedway’s Wing and Wheel logo is present, as is the gold color that has been present on many recent logos.
The announcement doubled as a reminder to fans to renew their tickets for the 2024 event, and there are over 300,000 that have that opportunity this year.
“More than 325,000 fans filled IMS on Indianapolis 500 Race Day for the biggest and most memorable celebration of all that is May,” said IMS President J. Douglas Boles in the press release.
“Whether 2023 was your first trip to IMS or your 50th, we encourage you to renew or request an upgrade for seats by June 20 to reserve their spots for next year for another great celebration of speed and tradition.”
The 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge will take place on Memorial Day weekend on Sunday May 26, 2024.
