The World Motor Sport council has ratified 2016’s Formula 1 calendar, which will now feature a record breaking 21 races, with the inclusion of Azerbaijan and the return of the German Grand Prix.
The calendar remains relatively unchanged from the provisional version released earlier in the season, with the only change putting the United States and Mexican races as back-to-back events.
It’s one of six back-to-back events, which include Canada/Azerbaijan, Austria/Great Britain, Hungary/Germany, Belgium/Italy and Malaysia/Japan.
The season commences on March 20 in Australia, before ending in Abu Dhabi in late-November.
