Four men involved in a raid on Red Bull Racing’s Milton Keynes factory, in which they stole a number of trophies, have been jailed.
The gang raided the factory by driving a vehicle through the glass entrance [Video] where the team’s various trophies are displayed. In total, 60 were stolen.
Whilst some were recovered from a lake several days later, the majority remain missing and have likely been sold on as scrap, as most were simply replicas.
The gang have been sentenced to between two and seven years in prison.
It’s believed they’re responsible for 40 burglaries across the South of England, including cash machines at various shops and shopping centres as well as Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge.
The estimated value of their haul is thought to be around £930,000 ($1.4m) according to the BBC, whilst damage to property exceeds £300,000 ($456,000).
