Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has announced its final four compound choices for the closing four races of the 2015 season.
For the United States Grand Prix, the medium and soft tyres will be used. This is the same nomination as last year.
Meanwhile the new Mexican GP, held at the remodelled Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, will also see the same two compounds in use which, according to Pirelli’s simulation data, has indicated these will be the best choice for the circuits layout and new asphalt.
The Brazilian GP at Interlagos will have the medium and soft tyres as well, as was the case in 2014. This should provide a “range of strategy options and between two and three pit stops for most competitors” if run under similar temperatures to last year/
The final race of the season, held at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina, will see drivers using the supersoft red and soft yellow compound tyres.
