Ferrari 1-2 in WEC second practice at Spa, Cadillac third

Ferrari took a 1-2 in second practice for the FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa, with Antonio Giovinazzi first and Miguel Molina second.

Giovinazzi set a 2:01.871 to top the session in the #51 Ferrari 499P, 1.278s faster than Molina in the sister #50 car. Third was the #2 Cadillac V-Series.R of Earl Bamber, just under two tenths off Molina.

Ryo Hirakawa szet Toyota’s fastest time in the session, with a 2:04.167 behind the wheel of the #8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid. In fifth was the #93 Pwugeot 9X8 of Jean-Eric Vergne, while the #708 Glickenhaus of Olivier Pla was a surprise fifth.

Kamui Kobayashi was seventh in the #7 Toyota, over three and a half seconds off Giovinazzi.

In LMP2, the #31 WRT Oreca 07-Gibson of Robin Frijns went quickest, with a 2:06.108. Filipe Albuquerque was second in the #22 United Autosports Oreca 07-Gibson, while Louis Deletraz was third in the #41 WRT.

The #54 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo of Davide Rigon set a 2:15.736 to go quickest in GTE-Am, with Daniel Serra in the #57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo going second. #86 GR Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19’s Riccardo Pera was third fastest.
