Formula 3 driver Jonny Edgar will take part in the upcoming Formula E rookie test with Envision, joining the previously announced Jack Aitken.
Edgar is currently partaking in his third season of FIA Formula 3 with MP Motorsport, after taking large parts of 2022 away from the sport due to a Crohn’s diagnosis.
His youth will pair with the experience of Aitken who has driven in F1 as well as recently winning the 12 Hours of Sebring with former Formula E driver team-mate Alexander Sims.
The team, supplied by Jaguar, currently sits second in the Teams’ standings, earning three podiums with Nick Cassidy so far this season.
The team’s managing director Sylvain Filippi has praised both drivers and is looking forward to seeing what they can do in the Gen3 car.
“Jack has a wealth of talent and experience, and we are very excited that he will be getting his first taste of Formula E with our team. The test day will be hugely beneficial to him as a driver and for us to gather more crucial data for the season ahead.
“Jonny has a very impressive motorsport CV at such a young age, and we are very excited to see him step into our Gen3 car. The test will give him his first taste of Formula E, whilst also providing our team with valuable data for the remaining races.”
