McLaren CEO Zak Brown has challenged Mercedes boss Toto Wolff to a boxing match in Las Vegas ahead of the sport’s return to the city later this year.
Brown, who has held the reins at McLaren since 2018, has also said that he would be up for a race against Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner at Silverstone.
While the rivalry between Wolff and Horner has been well documented across the last couple of years, Brown has now thrown his hat into the ring.
F1 will race around Las Vegas in November later this year. Although it has competed in the city before, this time around, it will take over the famous strip that forms the circuit.
The Nevada city has attracted major boxing events in the past, with famous figures such as Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson, Muhammed Ali and Tyson Fury being some of many boxing legends that have fought in Las Vegas.
But Brown has taken an early jab at Wolff and suggested that the duo should take part in their own fight as part of the weekend entertainment.
“We were talking about racing Christian in Silverstone, because I used to race against Christian,” Brown told Sky Sports.
“And I’ve talked to Toto about it, we’ll see if he’s up for it.
“When we go Vegas, what’s Vegas known for? Little boxing match? I’m ready.”
And Sky Sports have already nicknamed the two fighters, “Slugger Brown” and “Terminator Toto”.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will be the first Saturday race in almost 40 years, will take place on November 18.
