The 2023 IMSA season continues around the streets of Long Beach in a few weeks time and the series has announced balance of performance adjustments for the top class going into the first and only street course race of the season.

There has been a slight reduction in weight across the board from the Sebring BoP table. The Acura ARX-06 being dropped 9 kg to 1045 kg total, BMW down to 1036 kg, Cadillac to 1038 kg and finally Porsche was dropped to 1036 kg.

Max RPMs in the ICE remain untouched but on the hybrid side some changes were made to each car. In terms of maximum stint energy, Acura has been dropped 3 MJ down to 914 MJ. Porsche has also been dropped, going from 912 MJ in Sebring down to 907 MJ at Long Beach.

Cadillac was also dropped a few MJ, going from 905 MJ in Sebring down to 903 in Long Beach. BMW so a slight increase in max power, being bumped to 907 MJ from 905 MJ in Sebring.

The rate at which that power can be replenished has also been adjusted. The only team seeing an increase in replenish rate was Cadillac, who were bumped ever so slightly from 22.63 MJ/Sec to 22.65 MJ/sec. The rest of the field saw minor decreases, the most significant being Porsche, who dropped from 22.80 MJ/Sec in Sebring to 22.67 MJ/Sec for Long Beach.

GTD BoP was also released alongside GTP. Highlights from that include a 20 kg weight increase for the Acura NSX GT3 and a 20 kg decrease for the BMW M4 GT3.  McLaren, Lamborghini and Acura all saw power increases, while Corvette and Mercedes both saw power decreases.

Acura, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Lexus and McLaren all will have a little bit more fuel to work with around the streets of Long Beach while Corvette, Ferrari and Porsche runners will have just a touch less.

As the season progresses the BoP table will continue to get more refined as data is collected across the wide range of tracks IMSA visits. Sebring BoP was by all accounts a marked improvement over the Daytona table and IMSAs technical team looks to continue that success into round three.
