Red Bull have reverted to the brake specification they used throughout 2014 in a bid to cure the problems they experienced in Malaysia.
Daniil Kvyat and Daniel Ricciardo both struggled with overheating brakes last time out which saw them finish ninth and tenth respectively.
They have now returned to Brembo brakes rather than the Hitco specification they had been experimenting with.
“The main points from Malaysia were we had brake issues, a lot of overheating, so we have reverted back on a few things, even from last year which we knew was more efficient,” confirmed Ricciardo.
“Just because it’s from last year it doesn’t mean it’s not better, so I guess we have taken a step back in that direction.”
However the Australian is hopeful of a better race in China with the various upgrades the team will be bringing to the race.
“On top of that we have some aero upgrades, which look promising. The team has done quite a lot to rectify some issues and get us further up the grid.”
