Formula 1 testing will continue on Friday for the second of three test days in Bahrain ahead of the 2023 season.
World Champion Max Verstappen set the fastest time during the opening day of action on Thursday as all 10 teams reconvened on track for the first time in 2023.
It was a smooth day of running for the majority of teams, with only a minor glitch for Aston Martin resulting in a solitary red flag period, while just McLaren – which still managed 92 laps – failed to hit a century of circulations.
Seven of the 10 teams will field both race drivers during Friday’s test day, with Alfa Romeo (Zhou Guanyu), Aston Martin (Fernando Alonso) and Williams (Logan Sargeant) electing to field just one race driver through the course of the day’s activity.
Running will take place from 10:00 to 14:15 and from 15:15 to 19:30 local time.
