AlphaTauri has presented its 2023 Formula 1 colours during a launch event in New York City on Saturday.
AlphaTauri endured an underwhelming 2022 season as it slipped to ninth in the championship, and finished without a podium for the first time since 2018.
Its AT03 lacked overall downforce while its predicament was compounded by its overweight nature and operational errors on AlphaTauri’s side.
It will enter 2023 with a revised driver line-up of Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries.
Tsunoda is approaching his third season with AlphaTauri, having stepped up in 2021, and finished 17th in last year’s championship.
De Vries graduates full-time to Formula 1 after spending time in Formula E, including a title victory, following his Formula 2 success.
De Vries debuted at last year’s Italian GP with Williams and his outing facilitated his eventual move to an AlphaTauri seat.
The one-time McLaren protégé has also tested for Mercedes, having been its reserve driver, and Aston Martin.
