Trident racing driver Rafael Camara will start the Formula 3 Bahrain Feature Race from pole position after setting the fastest lap time in qualifying.
The Brazillian continued his fine form from the opening round in Melbourne, topping the timing sheets in the only practice session in Bahrain before going fastest in qualifying.
Rodin Motorsport’s Callum Voisin qualified in second, just over a tenth off from the polesitter, with Camara’s team-mate Charlie Wurz third to complete the top three.
The F3 championship leader was victorious in the season opener Feature Race around the Albert Park circuit.

As the cars trundled out of the pits, many drivers battled for track position in an attempt to gain clean air.
Nikola Tsolov in the Campos Racing car set the early pace with a lap time of 1:50.506s with Christian Ho second in the DAMS Lucas Oil car.
James Wharton for ART Grand Prix went up to third after his first competitive lap time with a 1:50.875s.
Camara, along with six other competitors, failed to set a representative lap time after his opening laps before heading back to the pits.
With just over 15 minutes to go, the field headed back out for another round of laps to set the grid for the weekend’s races.
Alessandro Giusti for MP Motorsport went quickest with a 1:49.905s as Camara shot up the order into second.
Voisin, however, bumped him back down to third with a 1:49.882s, replacing Giusti at the front.
Tsolov improved to hold onto fourth, whilst Wurz set a lap time good enough for fifth before the final runs in qualifying.
Mari Boya in the Campos and F3 debutant Louis Sharp for AIX Racing both had lap times deleted to send them back down the order.
With less than three minutes to go, the field completed their final out laps with the qualifying session nearing a conclusion.
Camara initially went fastest in the first sector before Voisin went even quicker than the Trident racing driver.
However, the 19-year-old was unmatched in the second sector before setting a lap time of 1:49.214s.
Voisin improved, but it was not enough to take pole as Wurz popped himself onto the second row.
As the chequered flag waved, the rest of the order was as follows; Ho finished in fourth as Bruno Del Pino took fifth in the MP Motorsport car.
Tuukka Taponen qualified in sixth for ART, Noah Stromsted in seventh and Tsolov ending his session in eighth.
Giusti eventually finished in ninth, debutant Slater 10th and it will be an all Hitech front row for Saturday’s Sprint Race.
Martinius Stenshorne finished 11th, so he will start from second place, and Joshua Dufek finished 12th to take pole for the Sprint.
