Global pop sensation Katy Perry is the first act announced to headline the Yasalam After-Race Concerts at the 2025 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
A 13-time Grammy-nominated singer, Perry will headline the musical stage on the final night of F1’s season finale on Sunday, December 7.
Perry’s pop hits have sold in their millions and streamed in their billions, and her singles ‘Firework,’ ‘California Girls, ‘Teenage Dream’, and more have contributed to her being the highest-selling female artist in Capitol Records’ history.
“In its 17th year, Yasalam is a world-class entertainment spectacle which we take great care in curating to provide thrilling content for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix fans,” said David Powell, Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer of Ethara (via TimeOut Abu Dhabi).
“We are delighted that the first act we can announce in our 2025 After-Race Concerts line-up is global pop icon Katy Perry – her energy and electrifying performances will reflect the excitement of the F1 season finale in Abu Dhabi.”
Perry, via USA Today, said, “I’ll be singing a hybrid of songs … I feel a total responsibility to give the audience that singalong feeling, but I’ll also be introducing a few new ones.
“I’m really excited about. Please wear sensible shoes and stay hydrated.”
The American pop-singer follows a long list of legendary acts to have headlined at the F1 Abu Dhabi GP, including Sir Paul McCartney, Muse, Foo Fighters, Beyonce, Rihanna, Aerosmith and the late, great Prince.
Three more acts will be announced in due course for shows on December 4, 5 and 6.
The F1 Abu Dhabi GP has been a mainstay on the calendar since its introduction in 2009 and has made a habit of hosting the season finale.
Last year’s event attracted a weekend crowd of 190,000 spectators.
The race is currently tied to F1 with a contract running through 2030.
