Fabio Di Giannantonio “seized the moment” to earn his first MotoGP podium of the season at the Americas Grand Prix.
The VR46 Ducati rider earned his third Grand Prix podium in the premier class, and his first on American soil.
After narrowly missing out on the podium in the Sprint thanks to a fourth-place finish, the Roman-born rider knew he had to make the most of the opportunity in Sunday’s race due to Marc Marquez crashing out.
He crossed the line third, over 3.5s behind winner factory Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia.
“I’m very happy, we pushed and did a lot of work to be here,” Di Giannantonio reflected.
“The winter was really long for us: so many injuries, so many hours of physical therapy. To be back where we should have been from the beginning gives me a great feeling.
“I can’t thank my team enough, they have always been on my side, always believed in me.
“This is something you can never take for granted and you always have to know how to appreciate [the moment].”
He added: “Physically it was a tough week because since I’ve been in America I’ve been training so hard to get ready on this very tiring track.
“Thar’s why I’m happy because we improved so much and we seized the moment.”

Fabio Di Giannantonio aims 2025 MotoGP title fight
Di Giannantonio is aiming for the stars this season and is looking to put his name in the hat for the 2025 MotoGP title fight.
The 26-year-old’s rostrum signalled his first since his win at Qatar in 2023. He now sits fifth in the standings, 43 points behind his former team-mate and championship leader Alex Marquez. bra
He admitted his main goal for the season but insisted that he needs to obtain a level of consistency that had been missing due to recovering from his past shoulder injuries.
“Yes, that’s the goal,” the Italian admitted.
“We have the same bike as the top four riders in the championship, so we definitely have the potential to do it.
“However, it’s not enough to score points, we need to win and make a lot of podiums.
“We started slowly because of injuries, but we are recovering well. It’s early to make long-range predictions, now we have to enjoy the moment and keeping working well, there are still so many races left.”
