Formula 1 has unveiled the official trailer for the seventh season of Drive to Survive, set to premiere on Netflix on March 7.
Netflix’s sports series has been running since 2019, uncovering the behind-the-scenes of the F1 paddock from the 2018 season onwards.
Season seven will follow all 20 drivers and 10 teams throughout the 2024 season, in which Max Verstappen was crowned a four-time World Champion.
F1 uploaded the trailer to its socials, which features snippets from the documentary series, including reactions to Lewis Hamilton announcing his shock move to Ferrari and the rivalry between McLaren and Red Bull.
The seven-time World Champion announced at the start of 2024 that he would be leaving Mercedes after 12 seasons together, winning six World Championships with the German squad.
In the video, Team Principal Toto Wolff gives a recount of his reaction when Hamilton told him that he was leaving the team.
He recalled: “After 12 years together, Lewis tells me: ‘I’m going to Ferrari’ – really?“
Williams racing driver Alex Albon added: “Good for Lewis, good for his bank account!“
Red Bull/McLaren rivalry to feature
Alongside the shocking driver swaps, Red Bull and McLaren’s rivalry in both championships dominated the headlines last season.
The trailer showcases just that as Christian Horner and Zak Brown trade jabs with each other.
Brown could be heard telling someone over the phone, “we’ll see if we can get him to crack“, which is possibly in reference to Horner.
The next clip shows the British chief calling the McLaren CEO a “pr*ck“.
The series is set to launch a week before the season opener of 2025, the Australian Grand Prix.
