The first day of 2025 Formula 1 pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit saw a power cut intervention and night fall on a cool February evening.
The 10 F1 cars circulating the venue looked glorious under floodlights, but the session was interrupted halfway through as a power cut befell the Bahrain circuit.
This prompted an hour delay which was recovered by extending the session to 20:00 local time.

McLaren’s Lando Norris, Mercedes’ George Russell and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen took to the circuit along with seven more intrepid Grand Prix explorers.
Those included the likes of Ferrari’s Monegasque hero Charles Leclerc and Williams’ new boy Carlos Sainz.
Meanwhile, the likes of Nico Hulkenberg and Oliver Bearman could sit back, watch proceedings and debrief with engineers after running in the morning session.
