Aston Martin has revealed the team’s livery for the AMR25, the challenger that will compete in the 2025 Formula 1 season.
The Silverstone-based squad’s latest design scheme comprises the team’s traditional British Racing Green with more exposed carbon on the sidepod area.
Aston Martin released a series of digital renderings to coincide with the F1 75 season launch event at London’s O2, with the first sighting of the car itself scheduled for February 18.
The team will be hoping the new car will enable both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, who have been retained, to compete closer to the sharp end amid a tough 2024 season.
However, Alonso has ruled out wins in the last campaign with the current regulations, turning his attention to the 2025 rules when it will be able to count on Adrian Newey’s expertise.
Aston Martin will be led for the first time by Andy Cowell, who replaces Mike Krack as Team Principal, with Executive Chairman and part-owner Lawrence Stroll hoping the change of leadership will form building blocks for a return to the podium.
Despite lowering the bar already, Alonso, who will turn 44 midway through the campaign, will surely be praying for a car that will be an improvement on the previous year, which saw him reach a meagre 70 points, earning him ninth place in the Drivers’ Championship.
Stroll will be angling to find the machinery to help him reach the speed of his experienced and illustrious team-mate, as he seeks to finish in the top 10 of the Drivers’ standings for only the second time, in what will be his ninth season of Grand Prix racing.
