Formula 1 has unveiled a short teaser trailer for the summer feature film, F1, starring Brad Pitt that will bring the Grand Prix spectacle to cinema audiences worldwide.
Pitt stars in F1 as Sonny Hayes, a former GP driver dragged out of retirement to race for APXGP, all the while mentoring young starlet Joshua Pierce, played by Damson Idris.
Top Gun: Maverick Producer/Director duo Jerry Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinski have brought the spectacle to life, bringing the fictitious APXGP squad to several GPs throughout 2023 and ’24 throughout production.
Pitt and Idris have also piloted modified F2 cars on the track as part of a bid to make the F1 movie as realistic as possible.
The new teaser shows crashes and drama plenty and will also play during the build of Super Bowl LIX.
F1 is an Apple Studios film made in collaboration with Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films, slated for release on June 25, 2025, with international distribution by Warner Bros.
