Zach Robichon and Mattia Drudi have joined Heart of Racing‘s team principal Ian James for the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship LMGT3 season.
Robichon drove for Heart of Racing in the 2024 IMSA SportsCar Championship season in the GTD category and last year, he also competed in the FIA WEC in Proton Competition’s #77 Ford Mustang LMGT3 entrant.
Meanwhile Drudi will make his WEC debut after participating in the Rookie Test last November which took place one day after the 8 Hours of Bahrain season finale.
“I’m super excited to be making my FIA WEC debut with the Heart of Racing Team,” said Drudi.
“Zach was one of the best Silver-rated drivers in 2024 and Ian has been one of the quickest Bronze rated drivers.
“I think overall we have a really strong lineup.
“The Aston Martin Vantage was one of the strongest and most competitive cars last year.
“I can’t wait to get the season started in Qatar later this month.”
Robichon added: “I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of the Heart of Racing for a little over a year now.
“I’m excited to finally be able to complete a full season together with Ian and Mattia in WEC.
“This championship is one that I love and to have the chance to compete with Aston Martin and the Heart of Racing Team is one that cannot come soon enough.”
Heart of Racing first entered the WEC in 2023 with a partial campaign before following the championship’s switch from GTE to LMGT3 machinery, and thus continued their racing partnership with Aston Martin.
The Prologue pre-season test on 21-22 February precedes the 1812km season-opener on 28 February, both situated at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
