Lewis Hamilton has been seen “flirting” with Colombian-American actress Sofia Vergara in New York City, mere days before his debut Formula 1 outing with Ferrari.
US gossip website TMZ has reported that the seven-time F1 champion had a “lunch date” with Vergara, best known for starring in the popular sitcom Modern Family.
The website wrote that the pair were “grinning from ear to ear” and appeared “absolutely smitten” with each other.
Hamilton’s love life has often been the subject of tabloid gossip, having dated Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger in his early years in F1.
The American cheered him on from the McLaren garage as he took his first title at the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix and again when he won his second crown in 2014.
But with the pair having separated in 2015, Hamilton was then linked to Canadian model Winnie Harlow, while most recently he was said to be dating popstar Shakira.

The sighting of Hamilton with Vergara comes as the 40-year-old prepares to make his much-anticipated maiden appearance in Ferrari red next week.
Hamilton is expected to hop into the team’s F1-75 – which contested the 2022 championship season – at its private Fiorano test track.
The Briton will also be present with the Italian marque at the F175 Live at the season launch event in London next month as each competitor unveils its latest livery.
Hamilton officially joined Ferrari on January 1, ending his 11-year stint with Mercedes, with whom he won six of his seven titles, helping the team to eight Constructors’ crowns.
Last year, in an interview with The Times, Hamilton said that he would “one day” like to start a family once his career in Grand Prix racing ends.
“I wouldn’t be able to do what I do to the level that I do it today with that,” he said.
“One of my best friends has just had a kid and I’m seeing how manic it is, and my nieces and nephew are a handful.
“There will be a time and a place for it, and I can’t wait for that part, but right now I have some work to do.”
