Juncos Hollinger Racing has announced that it has filled two more leadership positions to help bolster its IndyCar program.
The team has named Will Phillips to the Head of Trackside Engineering role, and has hired Tom Edwards into the role of Team Manager.
Phillips brings over three decades of motorsport experience, working in many different series including formula 1.
Recently, he spent five years serving as the Vice President of Technology for IndyCar. His innate knowledge of the DW12 chassis will help give JHR a leg up on the competition starting next season.
Edwards has climbed through the ranks over the course of his motorsports career, having graduated from Silverstone Motorsports College, spending time as a team mechanic, and gaining experience in multiple worldly racing series.
He was part of Carlin’s racing program and helped it transition into what is now JHR. His promotion to Team Manager moves him into a prominent role in the team starting in 2025.
Juncos Hollinger Racing’s Team Principal Dave O’Neill said, “We are thrilled to welcome Will Phillips and promote Thomas Edwards into their new roles at JHR.
“Will’s technical expertise and leadership in engineering are second to none, and Tom’s deep understanding of the team’s operations makes him the ideal candidate to guide us forward as Team Manager.
“Together, they bring a wealth of experience and a shared vision for our future success.”
The announcements come on the heels of the news that JHR has hired motorsports veteran David Brown to be the team’s new Technical Director.
With all three prominent positions being staffed by tenured personnel, the team will look to increase its forays into the top 10, which it accomplished eight times in 2024.
Currently the team has only confirmed Sting Ray Robb for the driver seat next year, with the driver for the #77 entry yet to be announced.
