Jaguar TCS Racing has launched the livery that will adorn the new I-TYPE 7 in Season 11 of the FIA Formula E World Championship, with the season-opener just days away.
The British marque, which has recently undergone a significant rebranding, has opted for a similar colour scheme to that which has appeared on its cars for the past two seasons, albeit with the new logo of its automotive sibling.
Jaguar will be hoping for a continuation of its on-track, success, having taken the Teams’ Championship at the final round in London in July.
However, there was lingering disappointment with drivers Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans failing to deliver the Drivers’ title, the Kiwi pair suffering agony at the ExCel for the second season in succession.
Despite missing the first day of pre-season testing in Madrid last month due to a breach of Formula E’s cost cap, the big cat purred towards the top of the timesheets by the end of the week’s running, with Evans setting the fastest time of the week at the Jarama Circuit, with Jamie Chadwick finishing-up second-fastest for the team in the all-women’s test.
Upon the release, Team Principal James Barclay said: “What an exciting week it has been to start our 2024/25 title campaign.
“Firstly, the reveal of the new Jaguar Type 00 in Miami and now the unveiling of our Jaguar I-TYPE 7 in its official livery here in São Paulo, less than 24-hours before it will be on-track in the hands of Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for the Jaguar brand and for us as reigning World Champions.”
