According to a report Esteban Ocon is set to part ways with Alpine ahead of the Formula 1 season finale in Abu Dhabi, making way for Jack Doohan.
Ocon has raced with the Anglo-French outfit since 2019, but is set to embark on a new multi-year adventure with Haas starting in 2025.
Doohan, Alpine’s Reserve Driver was confirmed as Ocon’s replacement during the Dutch Grand Prix weekend at Zandvoort in August.
For several races, Ocon has cut a disgruntled figure at Alpine, convinced there’s a discrepancy with his car amid team-mate Pierre Gasly’s superior form.
Ocon crashed out of the Qatar Grand Prix at the first corner on Lap 1, having started at the back of the grid.
The Race reports that was his last turn of an Alpine wheel and Doohan will make an early debut next time out.
