British driver Alisha Palmowski has been announced as the Wild Card entry for the F1 Academy 2025 penultimate round in Qatar.
Palmowski is experienced in single-seater racing, claiming victory in her debut GB4 Championship race alongside the Vice Champion title.
The 18-year-old scored two wins, two pole positions, and 11 podiums in her debut campaign which put her on the map for a Formula E test.
She recently took part in the FIA Formula E women’s test in Madrid, operating the Envision Racing car for the electric series.
Palmowski said: “I’m very excited to be the Wild Card Entry in Qatar, it’s an incredible opportunity and one I never could have dreamt of 12 months ago.
“This will be my first race outside of the UK, and for it to be on the F1 ACADEMY grid as a support series to Formula 1 is a dream come true.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to the team at F1 ACADEMY, and of course Susie Wolff, for giving me this opportunity to learn and hopefully secure a seat on the grid for next year.”
The Wild Card initiative has introduced four drivers from across the world to the F1 Academy, even signing on two of those drivers for a full-time seat.
Palmowski will operate the fourth Prema Racing car, donning the #6 F1 ACADEMY DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE livery.
She will take to the Lusail International Circuit alongside full-time drivers Abbi Pulling and Doriane Pin who are fighting for the title.
