McLaren’s Lando Norris took a crucial pole position in treacherous conditions for the Formula 1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Norris kept his composure to put his car in first place with his Title Rival Max Verstappen set to start from 17th after being knocked out in Q2.
Mercedes’ George Russell joins Norris on the front row with his team-mate Lewis Hamilton down in 16th place.
Yuki Tsunoda qualified in a very impressive third place with Esteban Ocon managing to set a time good enough for the second row in fourth.
Liam Lawson joins his RB team-mate in the top five after qualifying in fifth place.
Charles Leclerc could only manage sixth place and Alex Albon finished seventh after crashing out in Q3.
The other McLaren of Oscar Piastri struggled setting a lap time only good enough for eighth place.

Both Aston Martin’s crashed out in qualifying with Fernando Alonso in ninth and Lance Stroll rounding off the top 10.
