Kiro Race Co has announced that Simona de Silvestro will drive for the team in the upcoming all-female FIA Formula E test in Valencia, subject to the event taking place.
The newly-reformed team, formerly ERT, has enlisted the Italian, who brings a wealth of experience in motor-racing, including 12 Formula E races for Andretti between 2014 and 2016.
She also competed in seven seasons of the IndyCar championship, scoring 12 top-10 finishes and one podium.
Most recently, she has been competing in the Supercars Championship, and has also recently joined the Italian bobsled team for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
In a statement, de Silvestro said: “I’m thrilled to join Kiro Race Co for the Formula E Women’s Test.
“It’s a great opportunity to work with a new team and contribute to their development. I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Kiro are the final team to announce its choice for the female test, scheduled for November 7th, which will take place subject to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo being deemed fit to host the event, after floods have caused catastrophic damage and loss of life in the Valencia area.
