The Alpine Formula 1 team has launched a special Indiana Jones livery for this weekend’s United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, Round 19 of the 2024 F1 campaign.
In collaboration with official partner Xbox, Alpine is celebrating the launch of the new Indiana Jones and the Great Circle video game.
Drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly will wear race overalls that match the Alpine’s one-off sunset orange design, paying homage to the legendary Indiana Jones typeface.
Moreover, the Alpine livery will sport the iconic map and red travel path as seen in the Indiana Jones movies, and the videogame title will also feature on the A524 in Austin this weekend.
“Working with the Xbox team to bring alive the incredible Indiana Jones and the Great Circle livery for the United States Grand Prix has been fantastic,” said Alpine Team Principal Oliver Oakes.
“The new look will be right at home in the Austin setting this weekend.
“In the past year, our partnership with Xbox has reached new heights and this is our biggest activation yet.
“There’s even more to come and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of the game when it comes out.”
Indiana Jones follows Deadpool-liveried Alpine F1 car
This is Alpine’s second tie-in with a Hollywood franchise in the 2024 season.
Amid the release of Ryan Reynolds’ blockbuster hit Deadpool & Wolverine, Alpine sported a tribute liberty to its minor stakeholder.
At the Belgian Grand Prix, Alpine’s cars were bathed in Deadpool red, with the added flourish of Wolverine’s signature claw strikes.
Ocon and Gasly also wore special race suits attributed to the Deadpool and Wolverine characters.
Alpine is the second team to unveil a special livery for the United States GP, with Haas sporting an eagle-inspired red white and blue design to celebrate its home race.
A livery tweak is expected from Constructors’ leaders McLaren as well.
