Anglo-American LMP2 team United Autosports USA has confirmed Daniel Goldburg for the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Goldburg drove upon United Autosports’ return to IMSA in six years and is the first confirmed driver for next year.
The Floridian will compete in all seven LMP2 races on the 2025 schedule.
He has put the #22 Oreca 07 on the front row on three occasions so far this year.
Along with Bjoy Garg and Endurance Cup driver Paul Di Resta, their best result was third place at the 12 Hours of Sebring on 16 March.
Goldburg said: “I was thrilled to sign with United for this year and I want to thank Richard [Dean] and the team for the confidence to sign me up for next year.
“We all agreed that we’re building momentum and our best strategy for success next year is to keep as much of the current team together and just keep the party going.
“Solidifying this now helps us to put all the pieces in place as early as possible to line up the best possible 2025 season.
“I’m feeling very positive about the end of the ’24 season and the prospects for next year.”
United Autosports’ CEO on Goldburg confirmed for 2025
“It’s fantastic news that Daniel is continuing with United Autosports USA,” added Richard Dean, United Autosports CEO.
“Looking at his track record, it’s easy to forget that this is his debut season in the LMP2 class.
“He has established himself as one of the strongest qualifiers in the IMSA field, a deserved podium placer at the legendary Sebring 12 Hours and he is, I have no doubt, on track for a win.
“I think 2025 is going to be very exciting.”
The 46-year-old previously competed in several seasons in prototype sportscar series beneath the main IMSA SportsCar Championship.
His ongoing IMSA SportsCar debut campaign is approaching its conclusion with two rounds remaining.
The penultimate race takes place this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.
A six-hour Battle on the Bricks event on Sunday precedes the traditional 10-hour Petit Le Mans season finale in October.
